Sdl 1 2 opengl 3
Apr 04, · Hi guys, I have been trying to run some simple OpenGL tutorials with SDL , and have been running into some strange problems. My hunch is . Only SDL version provides support for creating an OpenGL core context. So you should upgrade. And if you're having a problem upgrading, that's something you need to get worked out. However, if you want to use a compatibility context, all you need is recent drivers. Well, that and capable hardware (anything advertised as DX Initialisation. Initialising SDL to use OpenGL is not very different to initialising SDL normally. There are three differences; you must pass SDL_OPENGL to SDL_SetVideoMode, you must specify several GL attributes (depth buffer size, framebuffer sizes) using SDL_GL_SetAttribute and finally, if you wish to use double buffering you must specify it as a GL attribute, not by passing the SDL.
